Daylesford Cider is an absolute "must-visit" for travellers to the region. Only 5 minutes east of Daylesford, you'll feel welcome the moment you enter the tavern-style cellar door and meet owners Jon and Claire (and their friendly dogs!) Together they make traditional style ciders using 17 varieties of heritage cider apples grown organically on their farm outside Daylesford. The apples range in flavours from sharp, bitter sharp, bittersweet to sweet.
Order a tasting paddle so you can you sample all the ciders or book for lunch (Friday to Monday) and enjoy simple and delicious food as you wile away the hours enjoying the ciders with family or friends. There's an open fireplace to keep you warm in winter and an outside courtyard and grass area to relax on in summer.
Bookings are strongly recommended if you plan to stay for lunch. And be sure to check out their website for live music or other events happening throughout the year.
