Undoubtedly one of the prettiest regional centres in NSW, Orange is a great place to visit year-round. Famed for its wine, great local produce and community-centric way of life, a trip to Orange promises to be a memorable one. And with a busy events calendar offering ample reason to visit during March and April, there's no better time to book a long weekend in one of the prime food and wine regions of New South Wales.
Orange sure does put on a good market show, offering a range that will suit all tastes and preferences. Here are my top picks:
Proudly supporting producers only from the Central West region, Orange Farmers Market has been running since 2002 with a focus on providing fresh, truly local consumable goods to the community of residents and visitors. More than 60 stallholders arrive each month with freshly picked, grown and handcrafted produce for you to enjoy. When you're there check out @chateauduchocolatcafe (above)

Music & theatre
If you’re a fan of opera, you’ll love this beautiful performance by two Australian greats. The show is a two-hour intimate performance, where Marina and David will perform their classics from productions such as The Phantom of The Opera, Les Miserables, West Side Story, Guys and Dolls, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and La Boheme, as well as favourites from their award-winning albums. Unmissable!

This senior theatrical sensation is a comedy revue with a deliciously funny and fresh collection on comic sketches and songs performed by a cast who are old enough to know better. The cast all combine to deliver a somewhat silly show for otherwise sensible seniors—and it’s FYI: it’s belly-clutchingly funny.
