Unending ocean views, sharp cliffs, deep green forests and laid back beach towns to stop in... It’s no wonder this route is famous around the world. The Great Ocean Road stretches 243km from Torquay to Allansford, winding past some of Australia’s most iconic landmarks including the Twelve Apostles and surfer favourite Bells Beach.
Get out of the car and take a tree-top walk through the Otways, or learn about a shipwreck on a hidden beach at Loch Ard Gorge. As the route gets incredibly busy and there’s a lot to see, allow yourself a few days to properly (and safely) experience this scenic coastline. The Eastern Maar people are the traditional custodians of this land.
